Master Leão Teixeira is an internationally respected Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor and 8th Degree Coral Belt, with over 40 years of dedicated experience in the art. He began his training at the Gracie Academy in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, and is a direct student of Grand Master Hélio Gracie and Rolls Gracie, placing him firmly within the original lineage of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Promoted to black belt in 1986, Master Leão is a founding member of Gracie Barra and has an extensive background in both competition and instruction. Over the decades, he has competed at state, national, and international levels and has become highly regarded worldwide as a seminar presenter.

Known for his clear, structured teaching style, Master Leão emphasises technical precision, efficiency, and practical application suitable for practitioners of all levels. His seminars focus not only on technique, but also on the principles, concepts, and philosophy that underpin effective Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
