Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is emphasizes self-defense skills. The Gracie Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle is built on a foundation of healthy choices – Mental stimulation, cognitive coping strategies, physical activity and proper nutrition!
The goal of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Scholarship Program is to provide the opportunity to underprivileged adults, teens, and children (age 4+) to train for free in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
If you or someone you know needs to make Gracie Jiu-Jitsu part of their life, please complete the scholarship form below, so that it can be reviewed for approval. We have 5 spots a year made available. Please note that completing the form below does not guarantee that you will receive the scholarship.
If accepted, you must train at least three times per month to keep your scholarship. If you do not meet this requirement for two consecutive months, your scholarship will be terminated. In addition, kids and teens must maintain an 80% attendance record for school and be performing to their best ability within their school environment, both socially and academically. Finally, the student must have a positive attitude and come ready to learn. We reserve the right to terminate the scholarship if the recipient demonstrates concerning behaviour or dismisses academy rules and etiquette.
Criteria for selection in our Gracie Jiu Jitsu Scholarship Program
There are no specific criteria. We are looking to help people who have financial and/or barriers to being able to train in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. We want to hear your story. Please submit your essay below. The essay should be between 500 and 2000 words and should explain your reason for applying for free tuition.
